The art of Antonina Slobodchikova is a synergy of various kinds and styles of creative practics ranging from pop art to poetry, from conventional surrealism to collage and mixed media. Her art is ironical, provocative but exquisite. Her pet subjects are love, erotic and entertaining perception of the outside world. She readily and enthusiastically feeds her artworks with texts. Antonina says the following about her preferences in art - "My favorite medium is acrylic, canvas and sticking various images onto canvas or board. I often mix painting and collages. The result is somewhere in between… And I also enjoy making just collages because it is such a captivating activity one can be engaged in while at home, at work, in a studio… By the way I think that the life of an artist itself, even your daily routine is a significant artistic process. And everything the artist does is art!"
